Is it okay to whitten your teeth with bleach like clorox if I'm careful?
You will surely kill yourself! Use Crest Whitestrips...they work VERY well. Clorox does not work on teeth.
Reply:regular bleach will eat the enamel right off your teeth and be even more yellow
Reply:NO,NO.NO!! The whitening agents that are used to whiten teeh is not household bleach Please don't do that!
Reply:I don't know, It sounds dangerous, and could end very badly.

Better to keep the yellow like me! =D
Reply:its a proven fact that you can swallow a gallon of beach every hour with no problem but if you do more then that you should be ready for somethin freaky!!!! (not)
Reply:No, it most definitely is NOT.

If the bleach is strong enough to whiten teeth, it is strong enough to severely damage your gum, mouth and tongue tissues. If you think you can "paint" you teeth and do no damage, don't believe it-breathing it that close-up will damage the lining of your nostrils.
Reply:i've never tried it, but what the hey, give it a whirl, report back and let us all know how it went.
Reply:Absolutely not! It is not the same ingredient as in dental bleach. Dental bleach has either carbomide or hydrogen bleaching agents.
Reply:No, it isn't ok to use clorox on your teeth.

The bleach that is used to whiten teeth isn't ACTUALLY bleach -- it's a special type of peroxide (I believe it's called carbamide peroxide).

You can use the clorox white strips -- I did -- they definitely helped whiten my teeth -- but the results didn't last very long.

I also tried the rembrands paste/gell stuff that goes in the mouth trays and you use it either on a set schedule for an entire day, or for a week. It whitened, a little -- but, it didn't stay, either.

I start the day by rinsing my mouth with mouthwash -- then, I rinse with full strength peroxide for one minute -- if I forget to do it for a few days, my gums turn a little white . .. but it's worth it. After that, I brush my teeth -- then I floss, and I rinse again with mouthwash.

My teeth aren't white enough to glow in the dark, but they're white enough to stand close to somebody and not have to worry about them thinking my teeth are yellow.
Reply:i dont know, but i wouldnt take that chance.Good Luck:)
Reply:it is a very strong bleach and that is going to do things to your gums.
Reply:Are u for real? I didnt know anyone would really do something like that. Bleach is a bad thing and shouldnt be put in the mouth..
Reply:if you want a whitener, use baking soda with your toothpaste. :) it is recommended by dentists and it's safe. cheap too!
Reply:what the hell is wrong with you?
Reply:NO
