What is the best way to bleach teeth, some say the tray from the dentist , others have used over the counter?
Over the counter is of course the cheapest, but not the best. Some of those kits contain trays that you make yourself which are not the best, and some have strips which won't get into every front part of the tooth surface. Zoom, or in chair whitening works really well, but it is expensive and painful for some because of the sensitivity duiring the procedure. I like the trays, they make you a tray, you put the gel in it at home and do it yourself. This way you can control better how white your teeth get, and the sensitivity. Although it takes a couple of weeks with the trays, you always have them for touch ups. Whitening doesn't last forever, and if you have the trays you just pay a small amount for the gel and you can whiten them again.
Reply:the trays are THE BEST

the over the counter works but not as good
Reply:arm and hammer advanced white
Reply:the only difference in dentist product and store product is the amount of time it takes to get the same result.
Reply:I use the Crest Night Effects at night, and brush it off with Tom's Natural Whitening in the morning.

Got my teeth real white in a few months, though now I should be writing my thesis instead of posting here so it'll be hard to stay off the tobacco....
Reply:Crest whitestrips and crest night affects are both good
Reply:well... there's a few factors to consider...

As for how FAST they will turn white, definitively any dentist procedure will be faster than any over the counter product, but also a lot more EXPENSIVE.

As for How LONG they will stay white: NON of them are Permanent solutions, both need constant maintenance, but of course buying more whitening strips will be cheaper.

As for how WHITE will they be: No doubt that they will be WHITE with any option. 1 or 2 shades variation from one to the other will be only noticeble to YOU.

Personally I will go with over the counter, But it's really a Matter of How much you want to spend and how fast you need the result.

So Good Luck!!! I hope this helps to make your decision.
