Question about teeth?

I%26#039;m getting my teeth bleached by the dentist soon, and my teeth are stained from not taking care of them from when I was young, like I never brushed them at all, and the stains are kinda yellowish brown, will bleaching get rid of these stains and are they tetracycline stains?

Question about teeth?
This is something I do myself GENTLY.I am a smoker.I used to get brown bits on my teeth. Now the dentist gives teeth a scrape and polish, before I go I gently take my tweezers and scrape the brown of.you will find it comes of quite easily.gently.you dont want to ruin your enamel.
Reply:I would consult with your dentist!
Reply:If bleaching (almost) does not work it was the tetracycline. Else it was coffee, tea, smoking.
Reply:The only reason you would have tetracycline stains is if you took the medication when you were a child or if your mother took it while she was pregnant with you. I%26#039;m thinking that your teeth will lighten with the whitening process or you%26#039;re dentist wouldn%26#039;t have recommended it. Good luck
