Can I rub household bleach on my teeth to whiten them?

No but you can use hydrogen peroxide, the stuff that comes in a brown bottle in the pharmacy or grocery store. It's a type of bleach too but it is much safer to use. You can also mix it with baking soda and brush your teeth with it. In addition to whitening, it kills germs so you can use it as a mouth wash or gargle. You still don't want to swallow it but it isn't toxic the way laundry bleach is.
