Is it bad to use bleach on your teeth to whiten them ?

i was just wondering before i try it

Is it bad to use bleach on your teeth to whiten them ?
Just normal household bleach? YEAH!

The special teeth whitening bleach is fine, as long as you don't overuse it, it will weaken your teeth if you do.
Reply:yes they weaken the enamel
Reply:i hope your don't mean like, clorox bleach... cause obviously, that's poison.
Reply:You should NEVER use household bleach on your teeth. It is not safe. If you want to whiten them go to your dentist to have an in-office bleaching or you could go the cheaper way and use over-the-counter whitening strips. Be sure to follow the directions. Whitening products contain a different chemical makeup and the "bleach" that they use is safe for the mouth and if swallowed. Also, try to avoid beverages and food that stain your teeth. If you are a tobacco users do not use while whitening your teeth, it will interrupt the results.
Reply:the whitening agent to lighten your teeth on most "bleaching" agents is carbamide peroxide and not bleach.

If you rinse with chlorox you will have MAJOR GASTRIC PROBLEMS and have burns.

Another "whitening" agent would be something that is slightly abrasive such as the prophy paste the hygienist uses to clean mild stains on your teeth. This is a super fine powder mixed with flouride.
