Can you use bleach (pure sodium hypochlorite) to whiten your teeth?

Is it bad for your teeth? What would happen if i carefully soaked a towel with some bleach and rubbed it onto my teeth? This is a serious question.

Can you use bleach (pure sodium hypochlorite) to whiten your teeth?
Okay, first of all, everyone look at Texas cowboys picture above, dosent it look like he is about to give himself a b l o w j o b???

Okay now seriously, D Money, I am sure that your teeth are white enough, but if you want them whiter, and judging from the avatar you are a nasty crack hoe who needs whiter teeth, it is an old polish legend that you can use the sperm of an enemy slathered all over your teeth to make them brighten up, but you have to get really sloppy with sperm...mmm, pretty yummy too!

Have Fun !!!
Reply:You'll have really white teeth but you'll be dead.
Reply:would you really want to risk trying something like that. many tooth paste brands make teeth whiteners you know.
Reply:no that's not a good idea, bleach is not good for the lungs, gums, throat and all they would come in contact with get teeth whiteners
Reply:bleach is poisonous and very dangerous for you to put near your mouth. i dont know if it would actually do something but definitly dont try it. just go to the store and buy some teeth whitening. use whitening toothpaste and you can get a home teeth whitening kit for like $20 or less. but dont do the bleach thing cause that is SO dangerous!
Reply:dont do that girl bleach will burn your mouth better use some destilled water or carbon is not a joke use carbon but not the one that have already petroleum
Reply:no way, that's really bad, for sure, it will break your teeth,,,, ask a dentist about that
Reply:That would eat away your enamel!!! (at least that's what I think it would do) and maybe even burn your gums.

I've been having good results with Colgate sparkling white cinnamon spice. A lot safer!!!
Reply:No. Use hydrogen peroxide blended with 50% water. Mix with a little Crest toothpaste and baking soda. Keep it up for two-3 weeks. The baking soda is an abrasive and the peroxide is the whitening agent. These are the ingredients used by most dentists and over the counter teeth whitening kits.

Don't ever use bleach.
Reply:Bleach is poison....you'll die from it
Reply:No. You would probably be hospitalized.
Reply:you're whole mouth area might turn white. Bleach is poisonous by the way. Try crest whitening strips.

straight up bleach is only 6% sodium hypochlorite. It's mostly water. It's still very dangerous.

sodium hypochlorite would be a powder.
Reply:only if you want to die a painful death and have green teeth as a result. spend the money and go see a dentist to get that done.
Reply:Don't use home remedies. A product approved by the American Dental Association is your best choice if you really care about your teeth, and I assume you do. Home bleaching kits vary in their degrees of safety. Just look on the label for the ADA seal of approval. It makes no sense to die while trying to get white teeth. Professional teeth whitening -- though expensive -- is the most effective and convenient way to brighten your smile. The ADA recommends these methods as well, saying it's preferable to have your tooth-whitening process supervised by a dentist

Good luck.
Reply:Never put bleach anywhere internally!!!
Reply:NO NEVER.
Reply:yes
Reply:Please dont do that, its just not safe for you to do. Not only will it do nothing to lighten your teeth, it can cause you serious harm. The active ingredient in teeth whiteners is peroxide, but, NOT the kind you buy at the walgreens. Get some crest white strips, and follow the directions. That is your best bet to get good results short of going to the dentist. Please be careful and dont hurt yourself.
Reply:I don't think that is a good idea at all.
Reply:Sure. Go for it
Reply:HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. yeah, go swallow some bleach. see what happens.

seriously, no. NaOCl doesn't affect the enamel of teeth at all, but it won't break stains down with the little amounts you're be dabbing on your teeth. if you use enough bleach to break down the stains, you're going to burn the heck out of your gums. never put bleach in your mouth, you're a fool if you do and no one will feel sorry for you or your injuries if you disregard that.
