When you have braces, is it guranteed that you'll have perfect teeth once it's off?
Your teeth should come out of braces well aligned if you are following your orthodonists plan (elastics, etc) Once they are removed you should be diligent in following your instructions regarding your retainer use, either 12 or 24 hours a day. After the braces are off have a thourough dental cleaning to remove buildup and leftover cement and then give the gums time to shrink (most patients gums have swelling since it so hard to clean around the braces). Then you can consider whitening if you need it. Typically teens should not whiten since it can make the teeth very sensitive due to the large pulp chambers that house the root of the tooth. If you do, then try the crest whitestrips (about $25. +) every other day to start. Don't brush right before you put them on and don't eat of drink dark things for 1/2 hour after.

You shouldn't need bleaching if you brush enough.
Reply:bleaching your teeth is okay if u dont do it to often. u can use whitening toothpaste so that u dont have to pay for the bleachings. ur teeth will be better if u have the braces but they are not gaurenteed to be perfect.
Reply:You'll have to wear a retainer because braces loosen the roots of your teetht to shift them into a good alignment. You only have to wear the retainer at night when sleeping. Your teeth should be nice looking, keep in mind brushing your teeth twice a day, because the glue can pull off your enamel when the braces are removed, then you'll need veneers, which cost about $100 a tooth. Professional bleaching costs about $500 at your local dentist. It can be healthy if it's done correctly. I don't suggest going to universities because sometimes students dont always know what they're doing, even though the price is lower. If you want a quick fix, I suggest using Crest White Strips. They're about $40 at any pharmacy.

Reply:Yes braces do a good job of straightening your teeth if they are uneven. If you have wisdom teeth rear molars which are causing your teeth to grow crooked, they may need to be removed first, or they may reduce the effectiveness of braces by causing your teeth to go crooked again in later years. I like over the counter whiteners, but dentists do a great job to, although the procedure does cost more when done by a dentist.
Reply:If you take care of your teeth while in treatment then you should have a beautiful smile when having them taken off.





You will need to continue to brush, floss and wear your retainers in order to prolong your smile.





Bought a bleaching kit from the dentist at the price of $100.00 worked like a charm.
Reply:Your teeth probably will not be perfect. No one's teeth are. They will be better looking than before you got the braces. Bleaching varies, but it runs several hundred dollars.
Reply:i dont think you can have PERFECT teeth because there is nothing called like that. You can have the best smile aligned. If you dont wear the retention appliance chances of relapse are high. I can tell u that braces can improve your smile. Bleaching is fine. Its not unhelathy. But I have seen patients who come back with some amount of sensitivity. God has given u a colour whichmatches ur skin. Do it only if its too bad.
